Has anyone been to lake Austin lately? Thinking about going dwn there but haven't heard any reports and wondering what it's like since the grass eaters have removed the veg. Any general knowledge would be much appreciated. Thanks

My buddy and I fished Lake Austin this morning. We are locals, fish it all the time. Fished from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. We launched at the 360 bridge and went up to the City Park area and fished from there on up several miles. I caught one small fish on a tequila sunrise Berkley worm and had one perch bite. My buddy zeroed. I think the fish have left the shoreline, including boat docks, and are holding offshore around rock piles, depressions, and whatever structure they can find. A side imaging unit would be very helpful. Hope this helps.
