Hey guys,
I am thinking about heading out to the creek tomorrow. Are snakes still out this time of year? I am assuming I'll be relatively safe if I am smart, but I want to make sure it won't be Spring and Summer-like snake activity.
Thanks.

Haven't seen any the past couple of days. Over the last month I have ran across them sitting in the sun on the edges of the water. Be cautious!

Diamondback water snakes are still out. Saw one at bachman two nights ago that was in the 3 ft range, so if they are out, their venomous cousins still are as well.

Yes snakes will remain active for a few more weeks. They will typically be more lethargic in the mornings due to the cold weather. On days in the 70's they will still be out sunning. They are starting to make their way towards locations that they brumate during the winter.

Just stay alert and you'll be fine no matter what time of year it is
