Soje, at least a couple of us are heading to OH Ivie on Friday morning. Staying at Elm Creek Lodge. We're only staying until Sunday as of now but we might stay an extra night if things are good. Feel free to join and pm if you need details.

Thanks, but that's a bit too far for me right now. I'm not sure I'm even gonna make it out to Fork.

like the man says...if you're swimming in the ocean and get bitten by a shark, its not a shark attack. You're in THEIR neighborhood. If you're at home in your shower, turn around and a shark is in there with you...THAT'S a shark attack

Hey Soje, I'll be at Fork this weekend. Most likely in the birch area. Probably get there early afternoon Friday and leave same time on Sunday.

Where do you put in for birch? I have looked for spots to get up near the power lines and have struck out other than the long paddle from 2946. I was tempted to put off at the 514 bridge but looked a bit unsafe to leave my vehicle there.

I plan to put in at 514. I've never put my yak in there but launched my boat there back in the day on many occasions. I've got a honey hole near the 515 east ramp that I plan to fish some at night, but my daytime fishing will be done in birch this trip. I've had some good times an easy paddle's distance from 514 in the past. Also, Marc Mitchell gave me some directions to another place to put in around that area that I'll try to find.

Yah let me know how it goes. Especially the launch. I looked at that ramp last year and it was not public access

Unless something has changed, I have the go ahead to use that ramp. If not I'll put in next to the bridge or find the other place I was told about. Anybody heard of Bryant's landing?

I had to get out. I was buying 3:16 hard baits two at a time.

This almost sounds like a dark side to fishing.

Hi, my name is Chris and I am a big-baitaholic.

Hi Chris!

I'm hoping to get some home projects done, so I can go. Seems like I've had to cancel half of the trips I plan.

I know I flaked on this, but I want to put it out that I'm gonna go on 11-21, to 11-25, or somewhere among those days. I'll probably get a room. I'm cool to share a hotel with someone. I will be focusing on big swimmers for at least a few of the days, but the area I'm looking at is good for any kind of fishing. Blue Ranger gave me a good page worth of fishin tips.
