Beware of cabelas and their cabelas club card the customer service leaves a great deal to be desired and the card, well I believe shady is this nicest thing I could say about those folks. Make the extra drive to bass pro or academy you wont be disappointed with either.

Never had problem with either. Great customer service. don't get on here and blast somebody and don't explain what happened. Sounds like you were in the wrong and just wanted to take a shot at someone. Johnny

I have never had any issues with them. They have always bent over back wards to help me at the Allen store as a cash customer. No card was needed. If it has to do with a credit card then you just say no thanks.

I switched over to Cabela's online after almost 20 years of buying from BPS because I was trying to get a shipping credit fixed and couldn't. Online and in the Buda store always had great service from Cabela's.

You can actually get a sale at cabelas. They have employee pricing things several times a year, bps won't do that.

This turned in to a big boast for Cabellas. Which is funny because Joshua poked at cabellas and ran. Johnny

Another satisfied Cabela's customer and card user here. A few bucks back using the card, notifications of special deals, never had any issues with returns, love the bargain cave. I could go on.......and I might. I never expect any retailer to be infallable and even in error.......would be nice to hear "the story" if you are going to complain - there might be a legitimate issue. Also had good luck with BPS and Academy.

So what's the beef with Cabela's?

I love the Cabelas credit card. Every time I buy something at Cabelas, they tell me how many points I have and ask if I would like to use them on my current purchase. There is no planning or tracking on my part. They do all the work.
Prior to the Cabelas card, I had a Bass Pro Shops card. They mailed out certificates every time you reached $10. The problem was the certificates expired in 60 days and you had to take them with you to the store. After a couple of my certificates expired, I canceled the card. Bass Pro Shops may have changed their system as this was over a decade ago.
