Good morning I had a quick question, recently I have been out fishing and I cach a lot of yellow bass and every so often I'll catch a huge sand bass. I'm using hand tied jigs and live shad about 2 to 3 ft below the bobber. Is there anything I can do to target the sand bass as opposed to catching yellow bass? Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou

Experts will chime in but maybe a larger bait...
Although, i have caught a three inch yellow on an 1 1/2" slab
Would also try fishing deeper if the yellows keep stealing the bait

If you catch a decent size yellow...they are great to eat...

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

if you are just jigging the slab you will catch more yellows, Try burning it up from the bottom 4 or 5 cranks and stop. The sandies like it moving this time of the year
