Well after working 40 straight days 10 to 12 hours a day work let me have today ( Friday ) off. So I called Fishboy Frank Thursday at noon and told him " Get a hold of Matt and see if he is open " And WHAT A LUCKY DAY!!! He was open so Frank. Rockwall Roy and Terry Blue Tuna booked a trip with him for today and MAN!! We caught a ton of fish. We boated 200 fish easy and had one heck of a time cutting up and having a BLAST!! It was a sand bass free for all. We did get some hybrids but the sand bass didn't stand a chance. At one time Matt and I had a competition going to see who could catch the most in a row. Not to brag but I won with seven . But man we had a fun and great time doing it. We were laughing hollering and reeling in fish. The lure for the day was the Pic wic chieftian from www.moestackleshop.com. I had one on and was catching the heck out of them and then everyone put one on and it was katy bar the door a fishing frenzy --LOL--Everyone was catching the HECK out of fish every where we went.

Then we got back to the dock and Roy helped Matt clean fish and I bagged them up and helped them all I could. Today was a much needed day for me and everyone.

THANKS Matt you are a blast to fish with and thanks for all you did.
Frank, Terry and Roy, I had an absolute great time with you guys i am glad we are all friends and enjoy each others company. Getting ready for the tourney for the kids tomorrow. But today was another EPIC day on T-wak with Matt cartwright.

Keith I was so glad when you called the other day! I called Matt as soon as we hung up and it was a go. Within ten minutes had Roy and Terry on board. Roy and I were just talking recently about needing to do a Matt trip. We all don't mess around when it's time to go fishing with Matt! When we all get together it is more than just fishing it is fellowship, sharing fishing tips, learning the graph, everything. Matt has to be the hardest working guide in the country. As have mentioned so many times before if you haven't been out with Matt you owe yourself a trip with him.

Shoot all the boats today were following him. I'm convinced the fish follow him also! Boats would be near us and we would be the only ones catching a quantity of fish. That's not luck that is skill. On Matt's part- and our part also! We definitely aren't rookies out there fishing! I said one of my favorite sayings today, "It's the archer not the arrow." Keith shot so many arrows and caught so many sandies today we lost count! Matt and Keith were also like dueling banjos catching fish today. Today was the "high" of fishing at it's best. Sure makes up for the "lows" of working too much.... Matt is the man. Another memory was created today.

Way to go Hubbard gang. That's one hell of a mess of fish. Congratulations!!!

Now back to work Keith....lol

We all need a little reset. Awesome day! Ready for 40 more days of work?

that was me in the BW (thanks for all the nice comments), good fishing yesterday, they were thick on that spot but the hybrid were hard to comeby. Yall were definitely having a good time. I understand the bite got better after I left, glad yall got to stay on em.

btw, I was able to get all the drool off the boat at the WP car wash!

Nice post! That sure was a beautiful boat. Blue Wave for those not aware. I'm terrible with remembering names but was it Brian? And I think Matt said you were a fireman? That Tawakoni is just insane. I call those steroid sand bass in that lake. Feels like a small hybrid catching those monsters. We laugh from start to finish when out with Matt. Sounds like a bunch of school girls but it is for sure a great stress reliever.... Nice meeting you out there. Hope we didn't ruin a peaceful day of fishing for you!
