A few years ago in the back of Birch, one surfaced that I swear dwarfed that one. I don't even want to start exaggerating about how big it appeared. It was enough for me to fire up the big motor and let it have that spot. Lol

Chasinbass. I have seen that turtle in birch and it is at least twice the size of that one. No over exageration on your part.

Nature is truly amazing - as are some humans, LOL. I have friends that work in the Powerline industry - their crew pulled a snapper out of a pond up by Fork that weighed 150 pounds - I had a picture of its head -as big as a basketball. The Cajun's on the crew cooked it, LOL (figures) - said they couldn't eat it -tasted terrible.

I believe it, we've seen one that was at least 4-foot wide at it's center sunning in 2-3 foot of water in Wolf creek. Its head was as big as my thigh, kinda scary if you think about it.
