I am planning on buying a TDZ from a member on a different forum, but I am kinda iffy about its line capacity. It is the 103h model (100yards of .32mm lines/12 lb). I plan on using it for jigs and t-rigs, with 15-17 lb fluoro. If I use 15 pound, I will get about 93 yards of line; if i use 17, I will probably get around 85 yards of line.

My main worry here is that i will be running low on line at the end of a long cast, say 40-50 yards. I have never used a B/C reel with this low line capac. so I don't know exactly what it will be like.

I know that one solution would be to use braid: strong line while still having small line diameter. I would do this, but my first (and only) experience with braid was not so great... I had bought 30lb PP, and within a month the line was fraying and lost its color. I found myself breaking off lures just by casting. I am basically scared to try braid again due to this.
I am not sure why the braid frayed. I didn't use it in rocky situations. I guess it could have been my rod tip since it is kind of a lower dollar rod.
What do you all think I should do?

i would not use it for long lining techniques if line capacity is your concern.

Awesome reel. There are lots of after market spools for the reel.

But I agree with Mark.
