Does anybody own the pelican cooler that's similar to the yeti? If so can you give me some feedback on it?

Just bought pelican at Sam's club. $209. Seems to be well built. Holding ice great too.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the ones mentioned. I bought a Yeti because I had a friend that deals in them and I got a really good deal but I think all of them will produce similar results.

Might check out Orca Coolers.
Looked at them during the Classic in Tulsa. Get a little more for the money.

All coolers that you spend that much money on when new will hold ice forever. Check the latches on all of them. That will be the difference over time. Thin/cheaply made latches will stretch with the sun over the years and get weak allowing the lid to warp. When the lid warps, they do no better than a 40 dollar cooler. Yeti and the new Brute coolers both have excellent latches, the older Brutes were weak and would wear out in 6-9 months of heavy use.

The others I have no first hand experience with so can't help there.

They are but if you need something to keep food cold for 4-5 days in idiotic south tx temps, options are rather limited.
