I can tell you that I WOULDN'T post any pictures of her here. Good thing your arms aren't any longer or the record would've already been broken! I thought the "in your face" arm extension was necessary for all photos on the TFF. It makes muh fishees looks bigger. Good thing we got scales, though. Evidently they're metric. Lol.

definitely get it to a tank where someone knowledgable can care for it, then promote myself and the fish and the lure, line, rod, reel, boat, shoes, cap, etc that they pay me to have been using when I caught her, and dont tell anyone it was a worm I found on the floor of my boat. I'd call past state record holders, they seem to have done pretty well too. Year two I'd become a guide, charging top dollar...

Out of curiosity, what if you caught it using cheap $15 pole and some cheap [censored] bait you just picked up for a few cents?? The money you guys are talking about are from sponsors to say you caught it using their pole, reel, bait, boat, net, etc.. right? Would basically be lying (and I'm ok with that!) but isn't that false advertisement or something? Doesn't seem right. I dunno....

What a question! First of all its a good bet that the next world record will come out of Lake Mission Viejo in california. Probably this year or the next! Lakes go in cycles for big fish and fork is in what I call a (down cycle) right now. Mission viejo is just about at its peak cycle that lasts for 2 or 3 yrs then goes on the decline. This means a big window of opportunity to land that elusive world record! There is so many factors involved in timing, forage base, water quality ect.. that its too much to list. Here in Texas we perceive a giant to be over 13 pounds or so. Not the case out west! Your bass better weigh 16 or better to even get a mention in the local paper! I have a couple of friends who are world record hunters (Mike Long,Joe everett, Butch brown, Bill Siemantel) just to name a few. The consensus also believe that MV is the next lake to put out a world record. Now would someone please tell me more about this private lake in texas that has the potential to put out a world record. Thanks.... Ron C. Yes that one guy I believe has a glass bottom specialized site fishing boat for that little lake- lol. But to answer the question- probably just croak right over- esp since its Texas.

That little private lake in Texas has a 15.8 record with a verified electroshock 17 plus. Not sure about its peak- may have been2011-2012- hope not. Fishing on a lake with fish that size is an amazing thrill- just the thought that they are there. That's also why Fork is still a thrill as well.
