I am going do set trotlines in Twin Buttes. My annual freezer trip. I don't set for big fish, but occationally catch one. After a few years of reading about CPR, I have given more thought to releasing the big ones. Does it make any sense to release in Twin Buttes? It is at 3% and the city has set up pumps to pump into Nasworthy. I just wonder if they will survive or will I just see them dead on the banks, like they were on O.C. Fisher when it dried up.

The pumps were to pump from one pool to the other...not to pump it to Nastywater.

They pumped the south pool as low as they could. This week they moved the pumps to the north pool and are pumping through the spillway gates into Nasworthy. I checked it out today. You can see the pumps on the north pool and watch the water come out of the spillway.

They will keep their precious Nasworthy full if they can. So I think the big fish would be safe there. LOL

We didn't get tickets, but some TFF wardens sure tried to get us. Someone here called Austin and ever sent pics, but anyway that's water under the bridge.

The only reason we dodge a ticket was we removed fish by legal means, then put them in privately owned water, in no way connected to any public water. Fish taken by legal means from public water my be released into private. Sure was weird we are friends with all our local wardens, so the green truck pullin up wasn't out of the ordinary, but he wasn't there to BS, he was there on business! eek

Thanks Tom. I have 5 kids at the house. I strive to teach them to keep it legal, dispite my past that wasn't too stellar. I know I could move them. I just don't believe its right to teach kids that. I even tag my lines, etc and put up with the kind folks that think they are the only ones with a right to catch fish. Much easier when I just sunk them. Out of sight, out of mind.
