Hi, new fisherman here. I recently bought a penn fierce 6000 reel and the handle will rotate to the 'down' position (pointing down) when past the 'up' position, due to gravity. It's a slow rotation so it doesn't seem like a big issue but is this normal?

Thanks,
MDPhD1020

It's a spinning reel.

I have a spinning reel that does that to me also. I just assume that it's gravity pushing the handle back down but I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's never really created an issue for me.

It means your reel is in good condition.
