I think anyone who kills a carp or gar should get a medal from the state.

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

How about we put a bounty on them? IMO - They are more destructive to the environment than Wolves / Coyotes!

Well, to be fair. This is a white amur aka grass carp. Not the common carp that are a naturalized species in our man made lakes.

Ray Bob hasn't had a stocking of grass carp by the state as far as I can remember so killing it is what is required by law.

That said this one looks to be around 30- 40lbs or so I have seen a few up there that probably go 70lbs+

they do run down some good habitat and kill it, for killing sake, or hunger depending on you view. not to mention rolling around destroying spawning areas in the spring. bounty sounds good to me.

I catch small carp, drum, buffalo all the time for bait, and I can understand protecting habitats but I believe that one of that size should be allowed to live on

Why? it is an invasive species. drum and buffalo as far as i know are US natives. the grass carp is not, any carp for that matter. have you seen the numbers of silver carp in the missouri river, shoot ,they have knocked people out and probly killed a few. we need carp gone. i dont think gar harm anything though. well, besides fish...

Yes, I caught a bass in my Cap and Gown
