Hey guys, new to the forum here and fairly new to fly fishing. Went to the Caymans last year and fished for bonefish for first time but had no luck. This year we are headed to the Bahamas at the end of the month and want to set up a trip while there. Thought you guys would have some advice on where to go and so forth. We are staying in Nassau but have no problem catching a puddle jumper to get on some good fishing. Looking to hear from anyone who has went or knows of any good guides there. I have heard a lot about the Andros Islands but didn't know if it was worth forgoing just fishing in Nassau instead? Thanks for the comments in advance!!

Just got back from Crooked Island on Sunday. Amazing trip. "Stupid bonefish" there that haven't seen too many flies. Nassau is pretty fished out. I would think you need to go to either Freeport on Grand Bahama (I would recommend North Riding point lodge to look for a guide) or go ahead and go to Andros. The Joulter's on the north tip of Andros is loaded with fish. It is a bit of a drive though once you get there. You could fly into Congo town and fish out of Stafford Creek. The guide I like there is Prescott Smith( Crazy Charlie's son) You will routinely see schools of 50-100 fish up north. Grand Bahama has less numbers but some quality fish. http://staffordcreeklodge.com

Thanks for the advice guys. I booked a trip today with Prescott @ Stafford Creek for next Friday. Going to catch a puddle hopper early that morning and he is going to meet us at airport. Fish until 5 and take us back to the airport to be back for dinner with the wives. I can't wait. Pictures to come.
