what happened to the BBFS forums? haven't been able to bring them up in over 6 weeks? and I cant find the Beaver Bend thread on this forum anymore either?

I know Sid was wanting to retire.

Sid sold the store.

I know he sold the store but the new guy kept the forums and up until a few weeks ago they were up?

yeah, I miss that forum but don't know if it crashed or they pulled the plug-p-

I'm glad someone else asked this. I have been wondering too. That was my source for what is going on at BB. I find it strange that the forum just suddenly stopped working without any sort of announcement that they were shutting it down.

Also, since they still have the webpage I don't think it would cost much more or take much more effort to have a bulletin board. I'd also think that having an active message board would be a positive for business.

It would be a shame if the wealth of information from that board was lost.

Maybe someone can call the shop and ask?

Since we on the subject of Beaver Bend, does anyone know how the trout fishing is in August.

I just got back from a quick 2 1/2 day trip before the 4th of July, there are a TON of big fish in the river! I am not going to give away my honey hole but I have under water video that can prove what I say! I fished the same hole for 2 days and caught 7 fish all over 15" and missed the hook set on a least 35 more fish! I will edit and post the video soon! I thought I could see all the fish in that hole boy was I wrong! when I went to look at the video there are a least 50 to 75 fish all in the 16" to 20" range swimming around in a 100 ft stretch of the river!

on a side note the shower house in the fern camp ground is DISGUSTING! from the gross conditions of the toilets to the mold on the shower curtains to the NON functioning shower heads! there is trash on the ground all around the bathrooms and even old underwear laying in the parking lot! Oh and I watched the cleaning crew slapping a disgusting dirty mop against the outside wall of the bath house! YEAH I AM DISGUSTED! would love to know who to complain to in OKC! BTW the shower curtains are 6 years old! ya wanna know why I know that? cause I am the one who hung them up with black zip ties way back in the spring of 2007!!! Oh but hey we can always drive to the other end of the park to the fancy motor coach camp ground and use their fancy re-modeled shower house that is cleaned TWICE a day! I guess we know where the state of Oklahoma's priorities are!

Thanks for the update. I always referred to the BB forum to get up-to-date info on the LMF. In fact, it was the only current info. The other fly shop in Hochatown didn't keep their reports relevant.

Me too. I've specifically made an effort to give BB fly shop extra business just because I like the forum. I could easily buy some stuff ahead of time, but I go to the fly shop to show my appreciation.
