First off I am horrible with adjusting my unit and went back to auto mode last night to get a decent picture. I've seen some tutorial videos that are recommended for units like this but can't remember what they are. I have a few pics I will post if someone could help me if it needs to be adjusted and what you would do?

My plug for the ducer/power is also rotted away so it hardly powers on most the time. What ducer would you recommend for fishing and looking for brush piles?

try changing your noise reduction on low and your surface clutter on low.

I believe surface clutter is on low but will go check on the other. Do either of those settings have much effect on marking fish, bait or structure or is it more for simply clearing up the screen in the "open water" part of the picture displayed on graph?

It just simply clears up the screen where you can see your structure or bait more clearer.

I've been looking but can't find the rule of the effects of depth on the width on the cone. Can anybody tell me how wide the cone is at a given depth. Usually 6 to 20 feet. 83 vs 200

Have a couple more shots from yesterday that I was unsure about.

To much clutter and sensitivity?

Shallow is where I really struggle to get a decent picture.

Any suggestions on what you see or adjustments?

I have the same issues, as you. I am new to Depth finders. I don't have a clue as to how to adjust them! But, if you don't mind, I'll ride along and see if anybody can help us out. Or, maybe we can figure it out. I would like to see some more specific video, on how to adjust one of these specifically. Mines new, and I can't figure it out. It even came with a speed sensor, and I cant figure out how to enable it? It is plugged into it, but nothing.
