Recently heard a rumor that they were going to drop lake level in order to repair the dam. Doesn't make sense, but, that is what I heard. If that is the case, I don't believe there will be enough water to hold the tournament. They better have a plan B.

I read a newsletter than was distributed to lakeside homeowners. There are no plans to lower the lake level to fix the dam. Also, another reason for Lake Tyler's low water level (besides below normal rain and the leaking dam) has been a problem with drawing water for the City of Tyler from Lake Palestine. That caused the city to rely more on Lake Tyler than usual.
Supposedly the problem has been addressed and the city is back to be able to pull from Palestine.
That said, we could really use a gullywasher rain or three.
