Got there before daylight, slow start. Sandies on jigs and MOE's 3 inch twin tail white. surfice action. nothing bouncing the bottom or suspended... Caught more LMB than sandies. 2 really nice LMB tail walking tricks right at side of yak. 2 exceptionally nice hybrids shook off at side of yak too. nothing on chartruse stuff. I sure did enjoy the paddlin time too. Winds didn't seem to be a problem, actually like the sound of yak bow slapping them waves:-).

I went last night and caught 1 hybrid and 2 catfish trolling a CB 100 yards off the dam. Figured with the north wind I could catch some on the rocks but no luck with that... got tossed around a bit but it was fun.

Forgot to mention paddled to water tower drifted across the big bay at love park to far point and paddled back. No fish from the deep waters all fish were caught within 100 feet from shore. All fish were caught while paddling< -> except them big ones. They attacked while casting on the drift...

I trolled along the dam and the beach area, just east of the dam, then down to the tower for a bit. I saw plenty of fish, but no luck at all.
I guess that I will need to change baits.

Ron - shadtruse 8' - 12' CB worked for me (if you call catching 2 catfish and 1 hybrid 'working')

Before daylight on the 4th, tried the surface stuff, no bites, paddled to tower area, 12 to 15'foot water depth. Anchored Bounced big jig heads and shad baits, off bottom. Cast a mixture of CBs, fast , jerk, and slow. No bites!!! white and chartruse twin tails, a few lite bites, cast net no shad to be had. Moved to a brush pile a few snags, no bites, Back to shore. Pulled yak and dried it off, tried all the old reliable stuff, from shore>>> nadda zilch, nuttin, packed it up came home. sweetie cooked a bucha fresh pickins from the the garden. NO FISH TO GO WITH> and freezer is empty again! :-( . .. MMMmmm Might try LAKE CLARK, next week, Its been a couple months since I played on it.

The wife and I took our grand daughter on her first boat outing today. She will be three in August. They swam while I fished. No luck on the point out of Love, starting around 8:30am. Moved on to the old roadbed north of 34. Found a big school of 9" sandies. Boated about 20 while they were swimming again. New I-pilot is wonderful. Locks on to spot and you don't have to worry about the boat getting away from swimmers or fish. Great day with family on the lake.
