Coworker called and they were looking the next of kin of the other person, guess our phone number was in his home. Last time we fished together was September 5th up in Coffee Creek. Sad deal. I had a bad feeling when the picture going around in texts was the same brand as his (only one I've ever seen) Damn what a deal.  He was a regular customer of Rick Carter before he moved down.

I remember seeing Justin's name on the thread about life jackets. I went back to check it out and sure enough, he posted. Looks like he was adamant about his 12 yr old wearing his life jacket. Justin's persistence saved his son's life in this accident...everyone with kids - please remember this every time you're on the water. Prayers to everyone effected by this tragedy.  I'm so glad he felt this way about boating safety for the sake of his son and the rest of his family.....any of you that have ever tournament fished or guided where you are putting in a lot of hours on the water know its not "if" but "when" something will happen that will at a minimum scare the begeebies out of you or worse. I always wear a life jacket and kill switch hooked up, no exceptions.....

Very sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families.
 like the man says...if you're swimming in the ocean and get bitten by a shark, its not a shark attack. You're in THEIR neighborhood. If you're at home in your shower, turn around and a shark is in there with you...THAT'S a shark attack
