I have three questions.
Most important which ramps are usable right now? I have a 17'6" fiberglass and it only has a 60hp motor on it, so I can put in and out in alot of conditions because I can pull the boat on the trailer with the wench.
I just found out it has a stable hybrid fishery. If anyone doesn't mind giving some hints on where and how to get started fishing for them there, my boys and I would appreciate it. I am a no go on throw nets and shad. Anything else including trolling is good to go.
Any guides on the lake?
Can someone explain how the Feds count recreational Red Snapper catch?

Johnson park ramp between the park and the honey hole dock, have to back a ways out, better if you have 2 people so no one has to get wet.
The hump at mid lake and the trough in front of sailboat point has both had numbers lately. The hole out in front of ramp was full of whites last Saturday.

Troll sailboat trough with a deep diving 15-18ft crank in shad color on a 3-way with a silver spoon above it. Crank on the bottom of the 3-way with a longer leader, spoon on top of the 3-way with a shorter leader, should get you bit quick if they're there.

Wow guys! That is great information. Thank you very much. Even better that is the same setup I use for whites, so I have the stuff already. Better go by Academy and get some more just to make sure though

only thing I have caught consistently in phantom has been stipers. The spill way is full of em by about midnight. Catch 5-10 a night using cut shad generally when im catfishing. I have also caught a ton off sailboat point while catfishing off the bank there.

Assumingly it is a tube on the damn that allows water to spill over and run through the damn during flood events to maintain a water level below that of the surrounding houses. Striper = naturally occurring fish found in the Atlantic Ocean that runs inland to spawn, introduced to freshwater impoundments by man Hybrid in this forum = is a cross between striper and white bass Stiper = typo I think, never heard that one. Perhaps some kind of yankee kansas terminology

If you go down fm 600 "West lake rd" go down to the bait shop, go down across the dam its the area over there that flattens out. That cove is pretty shallow but you can get pretty close to that deep water there. Seems to me like they come up in that area at night to feed a lot. Ive done real good on channels/blues over there to on the wind blown bank in the summer as well. I like to get on the north side and get close to the point so I can fish the deep water and shallow. Run baits out into the deep water with my kayak.
