Normaly we start pretty early. Today was a acception. My son wanted to come and had stuff to do first. We got there about 3. Boats were every where! The wind was a little gusty also. Paddled through the shallow cut and went to th hump. Slow, slow, slow. The fish didn't want to bite. After an hour or so we started to drift twards the dam. I had a huge boat come right up beside me and yell at me to get out of the way. There was probably 4 miles of lake and I was in his way. When I stayed my course he gunned his boat and sped off making enormous waves. No threat of tipping so I didn't care. The fish just didn't want to bite. We ended the day with 7 fish all cats. None big.

People like that should have their boats impounded and sold at auction.

Had someone go off on me for using a boat ramp. Said they should be reserved for real boats. There were 4 ramps at this launch.

Yep. Right at the shallow cut I threw the net and got a bunch of great shad too. It was a real test throwing the net with all the wind and boats, but no mishaps.

Mabey. I just smiled and waved. He was probably just grouchy cause my boat is cooler than his.

I love to give them a big grin. It tends to make them feel stupid and diffuse the situation. They also love a big thumbs up!

Sorry I couldn't make it out. Crashed at a girl's house Saturday night and when we woke up she had a flat tire. Spent the better part of the afternoon helping her with that. I put her spare on but it was in BAD shape. So I followed her to the nearest tire place and sure enough, it went flat a mile into the drive. Great way to spend a Sunday.
