The flood of 07 started Texoma into a downward spiral when we lost tons of fish over the spillway. Then the drought and zebra mussels followed and we went through some really lean years up here on Texoma. Those days are over and the fishing is way better then it has been in a long time so call your favorite guide and get up here because the fishing is just insane this year with really nice 18-19 inch box fish and plenty of big over 20" fish.Posting pics is a pain on here so if you want some proof check out my facebook page.

Thanks sj and calm down steve that is a very nice fish that's looks 18 easy to me but texoma is a special place and I feel you just jabbed the wrong way "rise from the ashes" I think that sj fished the lake since dawn of time and has seen how good it has gotten. Up here we have and have been and will continue to catch em and it's been a great few years for sure not just now. Steve you've always seemed to catch a bunch and have plenty of happy clients...let's all get along there are lots of fish and great guides on texoma to enjoy.

Sorry Steve did'nt mean to offend anyone did not know I was not allowed to post on a topic. I'm 71 years old and been fishing texoma since I was 4 years old so I think the fishing was great during that time I did not know it would offend anyone if i said it.I had some great trips during that time. But I am sure I am much easier to please than you and I am the first to admit I am still learning this fishing thing. Hope you can accept my apology for offending you. Johnny

No problem Johnny. We all had some good fishing over the last few years but we had way too many days of tough fishing and limits of small fish. The fishing is just insane right now. We slaughtered them this evening.Lots of overs and big box fish, big fish was 17 lbs.

Thanks 6/18/13 Fishing was about as good as it gets this morning and even better this afternoon. I lost count how many 7-15 lb fish we threw back. Words really can't describe how good the fishing was, you just had to be there. I can't speak for everyone but myself and all the guides I fish with agree 100% that we are having the best season by far that we have seen since the flood in 07.
