There a lots of things to consider when setting a line from the bank. Water depth, how fast does it get deep , what are the swimming and boating activities. state regulations, etc. Think about each area and set legally and responibly. I set different areas diffferently. I like to set limb lines, 1 hook about 8" deep in rivers, if their is no boat of kayak activity. Mark them plainly and check them often.
