It's a great yak! Got one in lime green. Now the fun begins trying to figure out where everything is gonna go.

I live in Lake Dallas and there is a small lake on I35 just one exit down from where I live.....it is where I learned how to use the Vapor.....it is on the service road just south of Lake Lewisville....Highland Village road t's into the service road......the fishing has not been the best, but it has been a good place for me to learn without full size boats and the waves that go with them.....I believe it is called Copperas Branch Lake and is part of Copperas Branch Park....excellent looking water.....just not the most productive.....1 13" Crappie a dozen or so small Blacks and 2 16" keepers....for you high end Pro's probably not a first choice.....it will give me a chance to see what is what with the sled.....

Yep....not the best fishing, but it sure looks good and like I said I am still learning more about the yak than the fishing....I have seen as many as 11 other boats there at one time and a half dozen folks on the bank....a lot of pressure......I managed to stay seated in my Vapor from 6:AM to 4:PM once just to see how long my butt could last.....I will most likely head to Ray Roberts on Sunday AM.....never been there......

Ya i tried fishing there one time. There were 5 or 6 boats and didn't see as much as a bite, that'll prolly be my only time going. I was planning on testing/getting to know my new yak at lake park on a calm day. Would that be a decent spot to do it?

Yes...it is an excellent spot to get to know a boat.....once you get away from the freeway it is very nice....no park fees or ramp fees....mowed grass all the way to the water....and for me one exit from where I live....

I did not get to go today.....more rigging and fooling around with the boat (which I like almost as much as fishing).....then more wind than I care to tackle.....thinking about going to the Point Vista ramp in Hickory Creek in the morning....

Well I got it wet today.....man that is a nice yak......my old paddle is too short....

Loading and unloading it to the roof of my Scion is touch and go....my rack supports 130 lbs so that is not an issue but, getting it up high enough to get it on the roof is almost impossible....I have recently picked up a yak loader called "RollerLoader" and it works great once I can get the front of the yak high enough to make contact with it....and I have the rear wheel installed so the stinker tries to roll backwards while I am trying to make contact with the loader...

...drilled a hole in the rear wheel and stuck a screw in it to lock it in place....then position the boat so I can lift the front over my head and pivot to the loader.....with the rear wheel locked I can then move to the back without the yak trying to escape and slide it up on the roof....easy (right)....anyway a big jump in boat for me....no fish today though...
