Thanks for the reply bluebonnet2. It all sounds good. did you try the pads at all? I'm hoping for a strong topwater bite next week.

I was there all last weekend, and only caught 3 fish the whole time. I blame the cold front wink If the weather stays warm, which it's supposed to you shouldn't have a problem catching fish. Just flip trees and weed lines like you normally would. I didn't have a single bite on topwater my last two trips, but it'll probably be a lot warmer for you than it was for me. You may catch a couple on topwater, but I wouldn't expect it to be a "strong bite". Fish what you're confident in, and water that's the least muddy you can find. The pads haven't grown in as much as I'd expect for this time of year. Have fun and take pictures!

Thanks for the offer Mark. This trip I'm going to have to find them on my own. I've fished with a guide on Caddo twice before and it was always a great experience! Learned a bunch and caught alot of fish. Just not always going to have the extra cash for a guide. I'll be in a canoe. Either a blue solo or a cedar strip tandem with my wife. If you see me on the water slide over and introduce yourself. I'd like to meet you.

Taylor, thanks for the tips. I'm hoping the weather will be as good as it looks like it should be Sun-Wed. I just want the wind to lay down a bit for me. I fish from a canoe and it's challenging at times.
