What is the best worm when using shaky head jigs?? What size jig head should you use.
I was fishing Fork today and the guy that I was fishing with kept getting hung up with the Shaky Head jigs he was using.
BTW, Fork has kicked my butt the last two days. One fish in two hard days.

I like Trick Worms and the famous Hag's Tornando! That will put fish in your boat.

by far the best made is roboworm...awesome colors and they are really soft. next i would have to say zoom has the next best selection of colors and sizes...then the only other company i will use as far as finnese is the new havoc bottomhopper... cheap and they stuck to basic colors. but some cool other baits i have had much success on is lft baby ring frys, grande bass rattlesnake, any senkos and also just throw on any berkley powerworm...shakey heads are known as being a finesse presentation but that dosent mean you always have to fish it like one. hope this helped and tight lines.

My favorite shakey head worms are a 4" Lake Fork Tackle Hyper Worm and either a Zoom Finese worm or Zoom Shakey Head worm. If it's a light wind I use a 1/8 oz. Strike King shakey head. If windy, I use a 1/4 oz. In my experience, if you get hung-up with a shakey head you are usually "wedged" under or against something instead of actually hooking something, and shaking the bait often gets it loose.
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

use the lightest jig head you can use that you can feel on the bottom. I use anywhere between 1/32oz up to 1/4oz depending on the wind.

Like Wacobassin said the robo worms are awesome but very very soft and dont last long but I love the color options and think they stand up better than anything else i use. I also think the smaller Hag's tornado's work great as well.

I use a trick worm and a senko a lot, but have been using a product we carry called the ThinEsse worm by Whopper Baits. I had a few packs in the boat for ever and finally tied one on last year and it made me a believer.

Zoom trick worm and zoom magnum finesse worm are the only worms I rig on a shakey head. I've had more success with the magnum finesse worm.

My new favorite is a 7" worm by Xcite Baits. Next would be Zoom Trick worm.

I like a Stanley Sidewinder. It has a rattle chamber in the tail, and will produce bubbles if you leave it empty.

If you are fond of Zoom Trick Worms, you will love e2Baits worm. They are so buoyant that they will stand up every time! www.e2baits.com

Probably not the typical shaky head bait, but I had a lot of luck using a zoom brush hog in watermelon candy on a 1/2 oz. shaky head sunday and monday afternoon. Biggest was 9 lbs. Fish was already spawned out and was over 25" long. Would have like to have seen her in March.

What about a Havoc Bottom Hopper? I've been using that and Zoom Trick Worms.
