Foodsaver deluxe and do not buy the cheap bags. I put up about 7 or 8 gallons of chopped green onions and they last a whole year. When vacuuming out the air press down on bag to make it flat as possible. They stack better in the freezer. I usually bag up 150 or more whole flounder for family.

always just used ziplocks and water, and layed em flat on shelf to freeze so theyd stack better.

Thanks Bob. I know it was a silly question, never used one and was just wondering. We bought my mother-in-law one for Christmas but never seen how they work.
