... that is, if you like dinks ...

Easily had over 100 fish today, but almost 90% were dinks. Ah well, catchin' is catchin' smile Had a dozen keeper size fish volunteer to get filleted. Nice day, not too warm, not too cold, not too windy, not too cloudy, etc. and most important NOT TOO MANY BOATS.

The best part of the day was that when I backed my truck down to recover the boat, there was a pickup truck with a beautiful woman waiting on her group to bring the boat in. When I motored the boat into the trailer, she hopped over & secured the strap & winch for me. So thoughtful, and so lovely ... and the ladies in her boat were rather attractive as well.

Nice way to end the day!

Sunday we found some larger white bass that were running bait to the shoreline. We managed some really nice post-spawn beasts in 1-4' of water.

The birds lead the way ! Viva the Birds !

I was out Sunday as well. Dink city was exactly what I was looking for since I had 2 kids in the boat. Worked out great for me. Actually got a few keepers out of it.

Zac, I might have to start launching at Tower Bay again if you keep telling boat ramp stories like that cyclop I moved my launch spot to West Lake Park. At least on South wind days.

I went out on Lewisville for the first time Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was so windy it was hard to do much but drift and I caught a few small sandies. Sunday conditions were much better and I found a huge school of fish and I got real excited. It was dink after dink after dink. A friend told me that if I found that to move because the bigger fish would not be around. So I moved and found more dinks. I had a couple of keeper size but let them go. So I guess I have to pay my dues to get to know the lake in order to find larger fish. Do you continue to fish the school of dinks until you catch a larger fish?

The "breaders" are just now coming down out of the creeks.

This should be the start of "Hero Time".

Sunday I ran in to a good school of sandies, me and about 4 other boats, just north of the 121 cut. Had a few birds working pointing out the little ones then let it drop to the bottom and found some bigger ones. Any where from 20 to 10 feet of water they were hanging out. You could tell the ones that had been up the creeks, all beat up. Tossing the old Humm Bug lure.

Those birds wanted me to show them where the fish were.

Both, but switched over entirely to slabs when the fish showed their preference.

Was out there today getting pounded by the wind. Was going for black bass and caught several, but switched over when the lady in the back of the boat started getting frustrated that she wasn't catching anything. Found tons of dinks, in multiple places (like others said, the birds are really giving away the fish right now). They were small, but we landed around 100 fish so it kept the "backseat" happy, which I guess was the most important goal for today. haha
