So most people in the boat section say Champion for best rough water and go 21 foot. I thought I would pose this question in bass fishing to see if that was the general consensus. Thx guys.

Like Fouzman said, I have been in 20-21 foot Champions and Skeeter Boats in very rough water and IMO the Skeeter ZX or FX is a smoother ride.

The Skeeter ZX & FX you say is SMOOTH? After doing a search on here, the consensus was the Skeeter I Class was the Smoother One In Rough water regarding Skeeters. After owning a ZX and now an I class, The I-Class takes it hands down. FWIW

hull, then driver , then lenght. Never saw a driver make a tri-hull, or flat bottom ride good .

Every ZX I've ever rode in felt like I was being kicked by a group of donkeys. The I class is a whole different breed of boats to me. One of the best riding hulls I've ever been In. I've ran all the bigger champs. The 202,203,206,210 and they all rode good, IF you know how to drive them. Driver ability is first and foremost then boat. Stick a horrible driver behind the wheel of a 210, z-522 or the like and pee blood for a week. Stick a great driver behind a not so good hull and be amazed. Now an aluminum hull is still aluminum.
I can backlash toilet paper.

Driver, Hull design, Length
One of the best riding boats I have ever ridden in was a 21 ft Bullet. My Basscat & my old Champion are also good riding boats.

Boat length and hull design both matter, and so does the driver. I mean it doesn't matter what boat it is, a 21 ft boat will ride better in rough water then a 17 ft boat in the same boat class. I don't have as much experience with different boats like some people on here have, but I personally like the big BassCats. But in the end, my center console bay boat wins in rough water haha
