how we catch grinnells is-- have your crappie rig out with 6lb. line on light equiptment. takes like 15 min. to get them in, and would rather have crappie on the other end

I'm a yaker too. I put in at 78 a couple weeks back and it was terrible. I had to drag across that 45 yard flat / sand bar and was swarmed by red wasps. Got stung 12 times and I thought it was too cold. To top it off, I saw a hog and was going to paddle fast to get away and went right into a log jam full of moccasins. I also got an infection in a cut on my leg from the stagnated water. Been coughing up rust colored snot since the trip. I did catch a buffalo by snagging him with a jig and a monster bluegill.

Big spinnerbait or a trap.I have caught them on everything.I had a big one jump out of the water to eat a square bill as I was taking it out.swallowed it and spiraledbetween my legs and almost went in the water on the other side.Bout broke my rod and scared the heck out of me.That was on Palestine.
