Some observational thoughts from this weekend's fishing.

well said Mr payne, I tried to make them bite a frog for 4 days last week with only limited success. They were saying get that junk outta here we aint having it. Changed tactics up and boom ended with a great last 3 days.
After one heck of a horrid slump Nov Dec and most of january its easy to forget we have no control over these animals. They are not house pets than can be trained to do our bidding. A bass may be one of the most humbling creatures Ive dealt with.

I've been known to try force feeding fish something they didn't want or maybe it was just the way I presented it. Lots of time can be wasted if you're not paying attention when you finally get bit.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

It was a bad case of me not listening or watching. Finally got some sense in my head and we did well.

Great write-up Chris. I'm new to fishing and while I have low confidence in general, I do have certain baits that I've had success with in the past so I always go back to them - regardless of how different my current situation is to those past successes.

Like this guy in pearl. I'll throw that for 6 hours without a bite, and then go home and wonder why I suck at fishing. bang rolfmao

Thanks for the reminder. Enjoyed the read.
