Just wondering if this rod would be too much for fishing 1/4 oz trig worms?

My grandfather and I own 12 falcon Cara T7's in various models (Amistad being one of them.) The Amistad is one hell of a rod, but too much for a 1/4 ounce t-rig.
I like the Amistad for 1/2 ounce jigs and bigger, as well as c-rig. For a light t-rig, look at the Cara Head Turner or the finesse jig. If you want more backbone, the Head Turner would be the way to go!! hope this helps.

If you can hold it all day use it. If I was pitching and flipping I would use it in the heavy slop.

I have it and have experienced no issues in using it for texas rigging. Probably my favorite rod I own.

I've used mine all day trig that light of weight plenty of times. I have a couple of the Buuco micro Amistads and LOVE this as well!!

Definitely not too heavy of an action for 1/4oz... Especially with Ray Roberts near you!

Let me be more specific... For my home lake, I feel like its too much rod for a 1/4 oz trig..to each his own

Thanks for all the great info! I got a good deal on the rod and wanted to use it for trigs and jigs. I like to throw a smaller weight in cover sometimes.

I love it for finesse jigs and flipping jigs up to 1/4 - 1/2 oz. I fish 1/8oz to 1/2oz t-rigs on it... Very sensitive.

I like the 1610 Finesse Jig rod for a light T rig. Or maybe the Head Turner. The Amistad works for me, too,but feels a little too stiff for the lighter weights.
