First time going out, looking forward to a big day but I'm unsure where the fish are holding and what they are biting on. Launching the boat on 515 bridges between Emory and yantis. Looking for some advice about where they have been holding, depth, what they are biting and what colors have been working. The weather and temperature have been pretty inconsistent so any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for the input.

The wind has been diss-coloring the water, figure out if you like muddy or somewhat clear water to fish in? Fish are biting at all depths.

Caught them on a KVD 1.5 square bill yesterday, color depended on the water clarity I was fishing. 6 lbs was the biggest, I gamble and use 10 lb line with this bait, however, the bait-action with it on light line is very tempting to them while they are feeding or protecting? High risk of breaking it off on Lake Fork Toads with light line but...when its post front and tough fishing, you can't beat it up shallow.

Don't be disapointed if Fork hands it to you it happens out there... Traps are a safe bet this time of year...Cover water in creeks where you find the warmest water. Good Luck
