Hey Horton as I an the older gentelman I fished with we both acknowledged you and held conversation with you. I also remember when I got back home the PM you sent me about you thinking we were being secretive which is not the case. But now I see after we exchanged PM's several times you go and put something like this on the forum. These are not true.I am no Celebrity or none of the folks I fish with, although we from all walks of life we share common love of fishing.

This is good advice. I haven't managed to catch big numbers of crappie on a jig and bobber at Benbrook, but I've caught some really big ones, and it doesn't take many of those to make a meal. Two years ago, it was a consistent bite during April and May. Last year was tougher for me, with March bobber fishing the best.

I suspect there are timber fish to be found all spring too, but Benbrook gets water pumped in until it's full in the spring, and at full pool, most of the timber disappears. The few trees still sticking out of the water or visible beneath the surface should hold some fish.

I would think we're still at least a couple of weeks away from a decent spring bite at Benbrook, but you never know unless you fish. I haven't been out lately, so I don't have a current report. Tie onto the back of Pat's boat if you can find him. Good luck, and give us some reports.

I'd be surprised if you got any coordinates as most fishermen here don't give away much except general info
