hello all,
Like the title says I'm trying to find something user friendly and yet nothing to crazy expensive. I mainly use my boat to duck hunt but I would like to fish out of it as well. My budget on purchasing one would be about $200. I have no idea about sonar so any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Why not run over to Bass Pro or Cabelas and see what they have in your price range.

Humminbird has several models in that price range. Can you tell us what technologies you want in the unti? Do you only want 2D Sonar? I'd look at the 100, 300 and 500 Series Humminbird. You can get alot of features and bang for your buck.

2D would work me as long as it picks up fish accurately and locate humps, channels etc... don't really need anything fancy. When duck season rolls back around it'll come off the boat.

Thanks Doug for the info keep em coming.

I have a new Lowrance X-4 Pro depth finder I removed from my new boat about 1 month ago. Works fine, I had units from my old boat. Depth finder, mount and transducer/power cable $80 shipped. If interested just PM me.
