As far as I know the Texas side seems to be pretty much under control. It's certainly something to be cautious of, but not a big enough deal to keep you from going.

I think Mudd just wants people off his fishing hole lol. It seems you are always talking about how bad the conditions are at caddo lol. Go in April it wont be to bad. Have a great time probably my favorite place to fish in the entire world.

No they have been pretty crappy this year. Enough for me to not even bother going. Last time I went 2 weeks ago today we blew a motor and only had one bite all day. Ran through a salvania patch 200 by 200yd up in Jeems. Farther u entry worse ideas. Main lake had tons floating around and some key areas were stopped up by it.

It's not the normal standard caddo imaging like most want to go and get.

38 boat tournament in December. 16 won where most of field blanked.
Tournament we prefished for had 68 boats and 11lbs won 2fish

I don't bs people. Most pm me and I I've them more info then what I post fish

The lake will start fishing really good when water temps get and stay above mid 50's. The next couple of weeks should be really good. Fish the deeper isolated trees, SLOW!

The salvinia is really bad right now. The lake was dangerously low until the last couple of weeks. Now, with the water rising, it is flushing alot of the salvinia out of the pockets and places like carter lake, and sending it down the lake.

Many places that were jam up last year are unfishable right now.
With that said, Lake O' the Pines finally gave us a little water, and it was enough to get water running over the spillway, and flushing a ton of the [censored] down twelve mile bayou and out of the lake. We need some more good, heavy rains to keep the water running and keep flushing it.

I caught a PB 10 pounder Christmas eve day on Caddo. Best Xmas gift ever. Tough to catch a big bass on this lake but for me there's always been enough action. I love Caddo and I do all my fishing from a canoe.
