Been a shimano guy my whole life.... bought a speed spool 5:4:1 for $65 off ebay to crank with and wow.... I’m in
I am looking to spend $100 - $200 and there are 6 different models in this price range.
My question is what the best bang is for my buck?
Looking to put it on a jig setup with 7.6 MH duckett
When I find the one I want, I am going to change my whole fleet of chronarchs and curados to lews
thanks in Advance

I've been buying brand new tournaments for like $117 off eBay. i have the tournament pros also and love them but you can't beat the regular tournament for that price

I've got a BB1 over at a friends house. I just need to pick it up. It's the low ratio I got for those 10XD's. LOL. I also got a killer price and I wish I had some extra moolah laying around because for that price I would, should pick up several of them. I think they will be a wakeup call for Shimano. They seem to need one here lately.

I started out with Shimano Curados 201 E5 &E7. They are excellent reels and are very forgiving. When Lews came back a couple of years ago, I got a Tournament Pro. So smooth, it bested my Curados with ceramic bearings!
Last week, I tested the Diawa T3 Ballistic with its TWS system. Don't mean to steal the thread, but WOW!! Unbelievable for pitch'n! I was amazed at its ease of action. The T style line guide should be an industry standard. Great innovation. This is not a hundred dollar real, so if budget is an issue, Lews is your best bet. Lews has enjoyed popularity coupled with a great price point. Probably one of the most popular reels out there. There, you can have the thread back.

I bought 3 lews this year pricing from the most affordable $79 to the &149 & can't tell the difference between the two. Awesome reels for the price.

I loved my shimanos until the "G" series came out. Decided I better look for something else so I tried one of the "SS1" series. Wow! I now own 5 of them. For $79 dollars on E-BAY. They are hard to beat. Still would'nt get rid of my old Shimanos though.

Whenever I have the opportunity to upgrade everything, I'm going to Tournaments or Tournament Pro's. Great reels. I have a normal speed spool as well and love it, just as smooth as my Tournament. I have a spinning reel as well and love it. Want to try the Laser's as well to save some money while in college. Wreck'Em!

For the price the Tournaments cannot be beat. The tourney pro is great but I actually like the finish of the tournament better. You can find them for like 110 which is a steal. Honestly anything Speed Spool through Tourney pro is an amazing reel.
Yield not to misfortunes but advance ever more boldly against them
