For the people who fish Ray Hubbard from a boat, where do you mostly fish? I've only really heard of people fishing north of 66 where all the flooded timber is. I've never heard of anyone fishing south of I-30 regarless of the time of year. I see people bank fishing at Robertson Park and near Red Barn Cove.

Best luck I've had has been with cut shad under the new George Bush bridge, about half way along it's length. Some good channels They must have dreged up so big ole trees because there are some deep pockets where you can really bring'em in.

South by the dam is good as well, or the old burned bridge.find the bait stacked up ,and fish will be near.Just mark bait balls and anchor up on them. There is alot of timber all over that lake that makes it fun.

That lake has more timber than you would think. When it was down last year there were places were we fished that we thought were clear and come to find out they were stump fields

Can Shad still be netted shallow around lited ramps or piers? Or do you have to go out in deeper water? Wanting live bait for cats, eater cats.
