Sorry for the late reply.

I like to park at 380, then hike down river towards LL. About a mile +/- down is a big bend in the river with some deep water and structure. White bass, crappie and hybrids will sit in there. You will see a few boats come up from the lake to get to this spot for crappie. When the lake is up that is. It is a bit of a hike, but not that bad if you are in any decent shape. I am not, but I still do it. Lots of animal tracks and bones. Took my daughter with me last time and she enjoyed the exploring.

You park at 380 and cross (walk) towards Lake Lewisville? Sounds like a dangerous cross with traffic unless you are going under a bridge?

Park at the gate on the south side of the road and west side of the river. This spot will only hold about 3-4 vehicles. It is west of the Greenbelt parking area.

I park at the park for the same reasons above and walk under the bridge. Although the hike appears to be a bit easier on the West bank than where I hike on the East bank.

I launched my canoe at the bike parking lot yesterday. Son and I trolled/paddled quite a ways. After about the 5th time pulling across shallow water we turned back. There was water flowing.

On second thought, might be worth parking on the road and expecting to get blocked in...

LOL in March I will be in the parking lot that cost $7.00 but I pay for a parks pass as I can justify the price of one. And then I will be up the creek in my bass buster looking for fish and in march I will find them its not that hard.

I say March cause I have been out hunting the fish with NO luck! I will just wait for these temps to warm up and water levels to rise before I go out there. Lately it has been a waste of time & money on my part..
