A couple of things guys. Over the years I have put together a healthy amount of harvest pics of large fish. TP&W is interested in seeing those. If you have any pics that could help the cause, email them to me or PM them to me. tawakoniguideservice@yahoo.com Also, a short narrative of a story or occurance that comes to mind w/ general details emailed or PM'ed to me could also be helpful. **Narative Example** Last year in March while fishing shallow water, I came across 4 large john boats anchored with about 10 guys in the water. They were all noodling. The destination I was headed to took me right by where these guys were anchored and out of curiosity I slowed down to take a look. As I idled close, I realized the lumps in the john boats were large fish. I don't know how many there were, but at one time I counted at least 10 fish in ONE boat that were very large. Most of these were blue catfish, a few were yellow cat. I could tell the boat next to it also had several large fish in it, but oculd not tell how many. **PIC EXAMPLE**

I don't understand why all the hate for trot liners. Most of us don't leave our lines in the lake. It takes just one JA to leave his line in the water. Along with his beer cans and worm boxes. I don't always run trot lines I mainly rod and reel my fish these days. I really hope this goes state wide and not just a couple of lakes. There are plenty of eating size channel cats in most lakes to leave the bigguns in the lake. I personally don't keep anything bigger than about 5lbs.

I appreciate the leadership Michael is taking on this issue. He knows how the system works, and, as important, how it does not work... If there is a more restrictive size or slot, it will be his business that will be affected for the short term, but he understands the long term implications of continual harvest of "brood fish." Thanks Michael. We need more stewards like you.
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
