Hardly any large sacks come out of Lewisville during most tournaments.

I only saw one mention of Choke Canyon. Must not be many "southerners" on this thread. Or I suck worse than I thought...

Every tournament result I have seen since June has indicated that Choke is just downright awful, so I don't think it is just you.

The past year, Fork has been tough for me. Unless you count sandbass, then I've slayed them.

I don't even try in lake Houston, and Conroe has baffled me for 5 months now. I think I'm going to just stock my swimming pool.

For clarification purposes...you don't think it's "just" me...or just "me?" There could be feelings at stake. wink

Most on this forum don't know there is such a place. It's in my top 5 hardest and I grew up fishing it nearly every weekend.

Alan Henry would be my number one. Partly for the fishing, partly for the outrageous price you have to pay to put a boat in it.

Houston's good for numbers of small fish, that's about it.

1000's of 10" fish!!!!!

I get my butt kicked more on Conroe than Houston, never blank on houston

If I am not catching keepers I consider that getting my button kicked. Conroe has its tough days but it puts out too many big stringers for me to put it on the list.

True, but i don't think i've ever blanked on houston, ever.

I know I've blanked dozens of times on conroe.

My heaviest Houston stringer is heavier than my heaviest conroe stringer, but my heaviest conroe single fish is heavier than my heaviest housotn fish.

i rarely fish conroe though, and living 3 miles from the ramp at houston, i fish it too much prolly..

Plus on houston i don't have to fight the scarab wakes in the summer..
