Bass fishing this past weekend was very good,Bass are shooling in the channels and bayou's on the Texas side of the lake as well as the main lake area's,water temps are ranging in the low to mid 60's water color is slight stain to clear.Lures that are working best for the Bass are soft plastics that imitate shad, fluke's,senko's,swimbait's are producing the bigger bites, also producing well are spinnerbaits and chatterbaits and crank's in any type of shad patterns.on the days that the bite has been a little slow we have been dropping down to 10 lb line that has been giving those soft plastics the extra action to entice a stubborn Bass into biting. Crappie fishing report
The Crappie fishing has been great over the past month and will continue through the colder months of winter and on into the spawn this coming spring wich takes on a life of it's on,shiners and jigs both working well the key is the grass and pad mix on the edge of the River channel.
WARNING!!!! Caddo is about 3ft low and there are a lot of stumps in the boat roads that you cannot see,Caddo is dangerous to navigate until we get a substantel amount of rain if you are not familiar with Caddo lake and the areas off the main lake in the north west end be very careful and patient.
If you would like to book a trip and fish for Bass or Crappie on Caddo lake give me a call @ (318)402-9493
A SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL OF OUR VETERANS FOR YOUR SACRIFICES.
