Im going out fishing today afterwork off the bank. My questions are, on a day like today (17+ mph S wind) how would you set up? Would you cast against the wind or with the wind? When is it to windy to fish? Is it to windy to take the boat out? Thanks in advance

i would say whichever direction the wind is pushing the shad to. and as long as its not Hurricane winds out there, fish on....

Fish facing directly into the wind or at least have a cross wind pushing in at the point you are fishing off of (wind blown point)...its too windy to fish if you dont have heavy enough weights to keep your baits where they need to be.

I would't chance taking the boat out, but that's just me. There are plenty of days to fish, and if it's questionable... Why chance it?

What u wanna do is get u some balloons or big bobber . Find a point on lake, set-up cross wind and let your bait/balloons take off. Most cat's will be suspended in about ten ft. Of water....this will due to the winds , enriching the top water with oxygen ... yea foo!!!
