For those who use sit on top kayaks, what do you wear to keep dry? Do you wear waders? I have a set of neofoam chest waders that seam like that would work but I don't know how safe it would be to wear them in a kayak. Just trying to get more info.

I'm not a big wader fan in kayaks. Waders full of water won't take you down but they'll sure make it hard to get back in your kayak in an emergency. And the longer you are in cold water, the more danger you are in for hypothermia. Wetsuits or splash tops and pants are a safer option. Also, stay away from cotton clothing. Fleece and polypropylene garments are much better at keeping you warm when they are wet.

When I'm wade fishing I always carry a knife on the suspender straps !! I was taught that by a old timer, for that one time you step into a submerged water well or off a submerged drop off

I wear tight fitting neoprene waders, which leave very little room for water to invade. Look like an idiot but who cares. under armor underneath it is plenty to keep warm. T-shirt, long sleeve shirt, fleece sweater, frogtoggs jacket and life jacket on the top is plenty for me, even in the sub 30s. I usually wear a beanie to keep my ears warm and if your fleece has a hood, even better. I usually over dress for the cold with that setup and have to start taking off layers, but is always good to have more layers than not enough.

If it ain't broke, fix it till it is.

Big Lots near me had Colemans version of Frogg Toggs for $10 a set a couple weeks ago.

I usually wear a wet suit but it gets real warm real quick sometimes.

I really don't worry about staying dry unless it's cold.

If it's around 50 degrees I have a rain suit I wear with sweats under and neoprene boots ankle high.

When it gets real cold I go to my Farmer Johns with under armor upper and bottoms, UA socks neoprene boots and rain suit over all that. I'm good that way to about 25 degrees. Below 25 you can't find me on the water for one reason.

Non cotton Long underwear, socks and pants. Fleece top. All covered by a rain suit and rubber boots. Have been out in sub freezing temperatures and been fine. I always bring an extra set of clothes in a dry bag JIC. This Sunday I was out and got a little water in my boots.... Feet stayed warm and dried out quickly..... Wool is your friend
