Visited my daughter in KY this past week. Took my daughter to a lake in Southern Indiana on a crappie guided trip ( closer to my daughter house ). I took along some feather jigs that Clay gave me when I did a trip with him earlier this year. Well, the jigs the guide had set up for us was not working, 3 fish in a couple of hours, ( 1/4oz with a 1 1/2 grub type ). I decided to cut it off, put on one of Clays ( 1/8 oz, with an 1/8 oz pinch weight above it ) Within 10 minutes we had 9 fish in the boat.( between 2 of us ) After giving the guide one of clays, he started catching a few. Not knocking the guides service, it was real informative and he really tried to put us on fish, I just felt that with the conditions, that a smaller and slower presentation was needed. And it worked. So thanks again Clay for the jigs. ( oh, my daughter out fished me 3 to 1 )
