The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our ninth and last regular season tournament of 2012 on Cypress Springs last Saturday. 18 teams came out to fish. The weather started off perfect and then the wind got a bit ridiculous but what else is new. A lot of teams found fishing a bit tough, especially for keepers. The under sized spots bit for everyone. We had a few good bags including the monster winning sack of 23 pounds even caught by Ronnie Manning and Doug Rener that included two fish over 7 pounds. Here are the full results and pictures.

Jeff Cartwright discussing the day with Jeremy McLeroy and Tim Clark.

John Bruner and David Hall after a long day on the water.

My two right hand men, Robert Oleson and Jeff Cartwright get ready to record the weights. We could not make this Club go without them.

Justin Watts with a couple of Cypress keepers including a nice spot.

John Bruner with their lone keeper.

Speaking of John, his partner on the day Tommy Morris sent me this picture of John knee deep after hopping out of the boat to push them off a sand bar. Comes in handy fishing with a big guy sometimes!

Wayne Baker shows off a nice keeper.

Robert Oleson shows off a nice fish that was close to 5 pounds.

Matt Jackson shows off one of their 5.

Vince Burt gets ready to weigh in their limit. Very interested spectators behind him are David Simmons and Jared Fish as they were locked in an incredibly tight battle for the Club AOY.

David and Jerod show off their best fish of the day. David Simmons won the Club AOY by less than 2 points.

Dennis and Damon Machost continued their strong year with a fourth place finish weighing 4 fish for 10 pounds even.

Jay Messersmith (SnakeEyes) and myself finally had a pretty good outing. We finished third with 5 fish for 14.15.

Tommy and Tony Climer had a great second place finish with 5 fish for 17.93.

After several third place finishes in a row, Ronnie and Doug got the win with a huge bag of 23 pounds even. That included big bass of the tournament with a 7.51 and another toad that weighed 6.99. Congrats guys!

Thanks to everyone that came out and fished with us this year! Next up is our Club Championship tournament on Bob Sandlin November 3-4. See you there!

Those two fish are pigs for that day!!!!! We caught so many small spots we were tossing them back over our shoulder to the other side of the boat just in case. Nice job, Ronnie and Doug!
