I'm looking for a fishing buddy in the North Richland Hills area. I fish a lot of the local ponds with good success and would like to fish some of the local lakes (Grapevine, Lewisville, Lake Worth, Eagle Mountain... really anything within an hour or so drive from NRH). Not only am I not familiar with the lakes in the area, I'm also a young woman, so I'm not really comfortable being out at the lakes on my own. It isn't the wildlife that bothers me, it's the people! You can never be too careful! Anyone willing to gain another fishing buddy, let me know!

And just to be clear... I'm not looking for a babysitter! I am quite comfortable baiting my own hooks, handling fish, and otherwise ending up smelly and filthy. I do not need you to hold my hand, I'm simply looking for buddy!

sounds like you got it under control. you might also try the lady anglers section. there may be some more lady fisherpersons in your area. Good luck and good fishing.

May the Good Lord bless you with a bend in your rod.

I second the lady angler section. Some are located in your immediate area.

I usually fish at Marine Creek, the Trinity, EM and Lake Worth.

If you can't find a partner and decide to go on your own, be aware of your surroundings, have a phone ready to use and some "two legged critter deterrent"

Good luck!

i live in nrh as well and fish grapevine mostly but am starting to hit the communuty ponds a but. chesapeak is one of my next stops. fishing is always better when you get to show your catch off to someone, if no body sees it, then its just another story.

I live in Haltom City. Me and a buddy usually fish every weekend. We've fished Grapevine the most, Marine creek a few times as well as many of the lakes in the area. We've also tried many of the ponds in the mid cities such as Knapp in Haltom, Big Fossil Creek by Western Center, Bear Creek and some others. I've only had luck at the lakes though. We're not experts by any means, most of the time we don't catch, but I'd rather be outdoors fishing in he morning than in bed hung over.

We love the outdoors and to fish so if you or anyone else in the area wants to join us feel free (Send me a pm). Sometimes we take our mountain bikes and take a ride after fishing for a few hours.

We're thinking of hitting Denton creek this weekend just to get away from the lake for awhile and try a change of pace.
