If you want to catch sandbass just run down any bank with a shad colored crank bait and load the boat, they are in inches of water, we were bass fishing and you can catch a limit of sandbass very quickly. good luck

fishing out of a boat, trying to find bass for tournaments, but seem to keep loading the boat full of sandies. at least the freezer is looking better.
