I can't take it any more. I am heading out to the Brazos below PK this friday. See my camping spot map below. Anyone is welcome, I know there will be a few out there already.

I will be in an olive Coosa, hollar if you see me (especially since i don't wear my hearing aids on the river LOL)

Wednesday this week marks 1yr from the flood, let's hope for a quieter weekend this October. Going to try and put what Shane taught me to practice to see if I can catch anything when there is water in the river.

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!

Steve, we need to get together. I will be fishing the LMF with 4 guys Fri-Sat-Sun, and I've been trying to get them to go the distance. They won't go below hwy 70, which is only 3 miles. We can go up to 27 miles, with several decent camping spots and pick up points, and Ambush would pick us up on Sunday at about noon.

Next time you post something like this, I want in. I can carry my load and then some.

These 20 miles are very nice and actually a pretty easy float, although it looks like the wind may pick up, and of course, as everyone knows anytime I go, rain seems to get me at least one night.

I would like to do the LMF sometime. Let me know, I still have some vacation days I can use in December this year

Steve, in December I will be slaughtering the bass locally from my bassboat. I know, that's heresy, but it's the fact. I've been crushing the bass between Thankgiving and New Years the last few years, and I expect to do the same this year. My kayak will be getting a break.

This is one of the best times of the year to fish that river. The spot you are marking at 5 miles is a very common camp ground. I am interested to see where you camp on day 2, as I normally camp at the end of the long isand about that spot. I never catch anything at this spot, ever, but it has great scenery. I think the dock is exactly 10 miles in, so it gives you a good refernce.

Oh the voluptuous W of the Brazos.

Have fun, I've been wanting to do it bad in mine, just cant swing it this time.

Last time we went, we camped just upriver from that island/sandbar by where your camping Saturday. Wish we'd gone alittle further and gone where your going. Looks like a good catfeeshin hole through there.

Well, I had to go to the Dr yesterday after fighting a cold all week so i would be well enough to go on my river run. Turns out I have Bronchitis. no fishing for me for a while.
