i know it's last minute but i'll be at the 515 west ramp just north of lake fork marina at 6:30 in the morning. if you would like to join me the back deck will be all yours. i'll have plenty of water on hand. no gas money expected. there will be a couple requirements however. no more than 3 rods please and keep tackle reasonable please. if needed you are welcome to use of any of my rods or tackle that i don't have in my hands at the time. if you'd like something besides water to drink you are welcome to bring it along. so if you don't have unbreakable plans and would like to help me solve the puzzle on this special lake shoot me a pm and let's get after em.

yeah i'm about 30 min's south of the lake and wind is not supposed to come out of the north til after midnight in the wee hours, supposed to still be coming through for most of the day with dropping temps, cloud cover and wind. it could get a little rowdy out there. can't wait!

Everything I checked says wind is North now with gusts up to 16 mph. If your out there tomorrow you one tough dude. I go out side and confirm really gusty north wind.

work has been a pain lately and haven't gotten the opportunities to go that i wish i did, so tomorrow is open and i'm going weather or not.

It all about the barometric pressure- If it's on the drop, they should bite. When it takes a turn up, it gets tougher.

Oh and most of my best days come after the fronts move through. But then again I can spend a solid 45 minutes finess fishing any given stump.

Smd..how did you do today?

it was good for a little while, started out on a point that has a creek channel that goes right by it. caught a couple dinks after i tried a couple different things. then moved on to a cedar flat that has a creek going through it. started flipping the cedar trees with a 1/4 oz. tx rig big 7 inch senko in green pumpkin. got bit right away by best of the day, it went 6 lb 12 oz. sorry no camera as i didn't want to take it out in the misty weather. continued with flipping the cedars and would get bit about every 15 - 20 min's or so for about 2 1/2- 3 hrs. and when it shut down it shut completely down. rest of the fish were either dinks or 2-3 lbers. coulda made some serious mcdonald's money on some of these fish, lol. kept trying til 1:00 and got hungry and quit. probably could have grinded out a few more but i'm a fat kid and homey don't play hungry. all in all it was great, had an area all to myself most of the morning and caught a good one with some nice ones to go with it. very quiet peaceful morning at one of my favorite places in the world, can't complain bout that. good luck and hope y'all enjoy it as much as i did.

btw other than the first couple dinks on the point every fish was really tight to a cedar tree in 5-7 ft of water with deeper water close by.
